I saw Choc Ice. He is a sheep . He belongs to my second cousin. He won some rosettes. He lives near Frome. I liked seeing the ducks and the goats. I went on the big bouncy castle and i went down head first. It was great fun.

Brownie
Yesterday we got our dog he’s a cocker spaniel and his name is Brownie. He’s fluffy and loves cuddles when we run he jumps up at us and when we go on the sofa he jumps up but because he’s so small he cant get up. He loves chewing mums toes and he comes and licks us on the face. He has long curly, floppy ears and beautiful puppy dog eyes. He has a wet, shiny, black, slobbery nose He sleeps in kitchen he’s really cute.
We are very lucky to have him.
Badgers first week back
Hello Badger fans,
We are back and want to share with you our first week in year3!
On Tuesday, we met our new teacher for year 3 for only the second time. Her name is Miss Pennington and she is lovely, we have had a wonderful first week with her.
Our classroom is completely different to how it was before the summer. It now has an interactive whiteboard, display walls, pegs for our coats, places for our lunch boxes and a visual daily routine chart.
We have a new child called Alex and everyone has made him very welcome. His favourite things are football and basketball. Alex says he really likes being in Badgers, as everyone is really nice.
Miss Pennington made us play a game with toilet paper on our first day!
We got to decorate our Maths books with all the numbers that are important to us. We have all been practising our handwriting after our long summer, which is a little tricky to get back into.
We have learnt a fun word game called Boggle, it is where you have 16 letters and you make as many words as you can. We also then share our words with others. We challenge ourselves to find 6 or 7 letter words.
We have also been playing word games with that involve VCOP, which stands for

Mrs Randell came in and chatted to us about starting to play the recorder. We are all extremely excited to learn a new instrument.
Our first extended writing was about a picture of a beautiful tulip field, Toby said that the clouds looked like candy floss. WOW descriptive words used.
On Friday we got to do P.E with Mr Groves, we did lots of multi skill games including: grapes, treasure and sticky bits.
In golden time we had it in Owls class, we played lots of games. Hattie played Guess Who with Yasmin, Gracie and Lily, it was really good fun.
We are looking forward to the the new week.

Cray Fishing
We went cray fishing at Great Elm and I caught four cray fish. There was a rope swing and lots of people came to look at our cray fish. We cooked them and tried them. They weren’t very nice.
Caravan holiday
We went to Cornwall for a week and we went to the beach on the first day. We went swimming and then we went to the arcade. My auntie, uncle and cousins Joe and Em came with us. After that we played Old Maid and Happy Families.
We went to St.Ives on the train and we went to see the animals at Paradise park, I fed the penguins.
We went swimming in the pool a lot and there was a great water slide, we also went on some paddle boats in the pool, the teacher was pushing our boats and splashing us and throwing stuff at us, it was fun. I threw stuff back at him and bashed him and we laughed.
About our holiday
We went to Spain. On the first day we went in the pool. We went to see our cousins Lola and Sophia. In their pool they have a whale that you can sit on. And they have a rubber ring its yellow. We played diving. When it was night time I slept in Lola’s bed its really big. The next day we went to the beach. We had ice creams we all had Magnums . they weren’t just any Magnum they were chocolate with melted chocolate then chocolate ice cream. they were nice . I had them everyday. The next day we went to the beach again .we got a boat to go in me and Lola went very far out my dad had to come and get us and pulled us back. We made a Jacuzzi . It was nice. When we got home I went strait in the pool with my clothes on.. Everyday we had toasties I had just a cheese one. we had babeque and 2 roast dinners

Season nearly over.
Well the season is nearly finished, I’ve had a really great year. I qualified for the European championships in Belgium and the world championships in New Zealand! I finished my first season of nationals as British number 9, south west number 2 and have won both Bristol club championships. I am off to Birmingham for the British championships next weekend and the South West championships on the 8th September. Then the season is done. Lots of hard work over the winter working towards the world championships in Rotterdam next year!!
About Sunday the 4th August
On Sunday we went to the cricket pitch because the cricket players were raising money for a charity. It was the fire brigade . Everyone had a raffle ticket. who ever got the right number got to have a go all round Frome on a Helicopter. There was a lady who had it and she took her boyfriend. And Rudy’s friend Isobel and her mum all went . We waved at the Helicopter. After we went in to do the raffle tickets we won 4 things. Some chocolates, cricket things, sticky bat and ball and sexy man after shave for Dad!
That day was fun.
Gromit
We have been searching for Gromits in Bristol. So far we have found 13 out of 80.
On Friday
On Friday I went to Sophie’s house . The first thing we did was watch T.V. We watched Tom and Jerry. Then we had lunch, we had pasta. Then we went in Sophie’s big pool it’s as big as my front room! We played pairs in the water, there was a picture of an animal from under the sea and we pick one up and try and find the other one. Then we played try and get round the whole circle without breathing that was fun .Then we got out and got our clothes on. Teddy Sophie’s cat brought in a lizard, we tried to get him in the box and it took a long time but we got her in. Her name was Lizzie Sophie Issy Lauren Ford. We looked at her and some of her tail had come off but that doesn’t matter because when they’re babyies their tails come off and they grow back. I took it home it was very smelly because she had done a poo in the box! I didn’t want to get it out of the box because it was too smelly so mum did it.
That was an exciting day.
First tooth out
On Friday evening at Joe’s house my tooth fell out. It was my first one that I lost. The tooth fairy came and I got 2 golden coins.
Grandma round
Grandma is staying with us for five days and we’ve had lots of fun so far. On Friday Grandma looked after us while Mummy and Daddy went out. Saturday Hugo,Millie,Dave and Lina came round for dinner. Sunday all of us went to Long Leat and we went in the mirror maze and it was fun. Monday grandma is leaving us it was great with her for 5 days.
nunney castle
Yesterday I went to Nunney Castle with Oscar and daddy. We walked down the river without our shoes on and climbed over the wall to get in. The moat has been cleaned and there was loads of pond weed on the bank and we could see the blue dragonflies and fish.
At swimming day
At swimming i swam by my self every day with out holding a rope. I swam so long i codont stop and i was out of breth at swiming. Iwent with my mummy and my daddy and gracie.At swimming i went inthe dep end. Iwent home.
At yasmins house
At yasmins house i am going to her house and her mum is going to tack us to gym and it is really fun and sumtime yasmins mum picks me up to my house and it is good fun.
A birthday party
At Millies birthday party I got to be a helper and she was 4 years old. There was a game which was called pin the tiara on the mermaid were you had a hat over your face and Lina span us three times. Then you stuck it on. I got to play the music for muical statues and a game called fancy dress pass the parcel and pass the parcel. I had dinner with the little ones in the living room. I had lots of fun there.

I went to At bristal mum,polly, zoe,ruth came with me. At bristal is a massive science museum. It is orsome. we got to do every thing.
horse racing
On sunday I went to the horse races. First we watched punch and judy. Next we went to play on the bouncy castle.After that we got a ice cream and it was yummy . After that we went home.
The new house.
I am getting a new flat with my Dad . And we sold my trampoline. With the money we bought a hamster called chip mashmello gorham. Now it is not long. I am moving next week. We are packing at the moment. I will miss my old house.

Gymnastics Competition!!!
Me,Holly,Bethany,Sophie,Issy and Mary went to a gymnastics competition at Millfield we had to do the vault and a floor routine (Key steps 2).We all got judged on everything we did.There was 140 gymnasts there (around about that anyway).
All the gymnasts there in their teams got split up into groups of about 6 schools to announce the winners.There was lots of suspense. ” ……..And in third place for the floor routine are from Berkley…….Maddie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I couldn’t believe it I got a Bronze medal for the routine!
After a few minutes “……This is for all the scores from your teams,vault and the routine in third place is……….BERKLEY!!!!!!!!!”
I was amazed going up together, I mean we were only a team of 6 ,other people had way more in their team!
After that I came home with 2 Bronze medals! It was amazing.

Dispicable me 2
On Sunday me Daniel and Malachie went to the cinama.To watch Despicable me 2, and Malachie’s mum took us there and then she went home.we were on our own and me and Daniel found a realy good place well Malachie went to the toilet and when Malachie came back he said “look there’s two hole rows over there lets sit there.” so we did we sat in the back one and a realy tall man sat in front.It was fun!

I went to at bristol with Zoe,Polly,Ruth and Mum.At bristol is a masive science place.We all made some butter , even the mums made butter and we had it with some crakers.

School Trip
At the market there were lots of difrent types of fruit and here is a list of them apples cherrys melon avkardos tomartos onions.Also there were fish.
New kittens
When I got three more kittens i was very exited. It was a secret from Rich. I have 10 cats now.
My new chickens
When we got our new chickens I let some out the crate. I stroked one on the head. It laid an egg and I nearly stood on it and it was very warm. I held on to it then I put it in side and told mum.
At grandmas
On friday I went to my grandmas and Bella was there. And after lunch Henry rode on his bike from london and we went to watch Disbicable me. After that we had a bbq.

At the school trip we went to the cows and a man was speaking rile fast it was rile cool and on the way back we went in the mini bus.

We went to a school trip to Standerwick merket to see food.We saw cows being sold and peolpe buying then.Next we saw a cow run fast and fast going again and again.I saw goat.We went back to school.

He was talking really quickly. It sound like he was talking rubbish and he dropped his stick then he stopped at once.

Sports’ Day
What glorious weather we were blessed with this afternoon for our Sports’ Day. As always it was brilliantly organised by Mrs Langton with her team of Year 4 helpers. The FBS with extra parents helpers put on another fabulous cream tea and the event was well attended by the parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles.
The children were very sporting and enthusiastic and it was great seeing the winners receive their medals on the podium.
The only cloud for me was that it was my very last Sports’ Day at Berkley !
Albufeira the rest of the week
We went to the marina where all the boats are docked.One day of the week Mummy,Daddy and Grandad went on a boat ride to see some caves.Another day Mummy bought us a blow up crocodile to play on in the pool.Sadly it got a puncture so we bought a blow up dolphin as well.On one day we went to the beach.That was nice.Some evenings we went to a restaurant.The food was lovely and for a pudding I had a pancake which was covered with chocolate and strawberries.Daddy was jealous!When we went out for lunch one day I had a giant ice cream for my lunch!
The Algarve was a great holiday!

Albufeira in the Algarve travelling and day 1
We had to drive to Manchester on Friday.We had to drive there to be closer to the airport.We were going on holiday to Albufeira which is in the Algarve.Manchester is where my Auntie,Uncle and cousin Isaac (who is 3) live, they were coming too..My Nana and Grandad were coming as well.My Nana and Grandad met us for lunch at a place called the Beef eater.We had a nice lunch and lots of chips!Soon we left to go to my Auntie,Uncle and Cousin’s house.After that we found our hotel and our room.We had a nice dinner and then we had to go to sleep.
The next morning we woke up to get to the airport a lady took our suitcases and they went down on a bumpy thing.Soon it was time to get on the plane.When we were coming down Mummy squeezed my leg really hard for the bump,bump,bump bit!We found our suitcases and then got in a taxi.We arrived at our villa.It was called Villa Mimosa.We had our own private pool.I unpacked and then got in the swimming pool.The pool was freezing cold but I was the bravest about the temperature!

Holiday
We went to the Algarve. The villa was nice. We had fun in the swimming pool and went to the beach one day.We had to wake up at 3am to go home.

I went to the well dressing service with my mum. It was smelly from the incense.Our panel looks really good.
About sunday
On sunday Kayleigh came to our house for a sleep over. Our friends said they were getting some of the things ready. So we put our wellys on and got in the car. When we got there we saw our friends. Then we started the MASSIVE walk .We walked up a really big hill. My dad wanted to climb a pyramid were the people stand to sing their songs. When we got to the pyramid we got to go on the pyramid and dad sang us a song it was really funny. We walked some more we let there dog Henry of the lead we had to find a pirate ship me and Ben were first to find it. Then we found another castle to play in. Then e were so tired and we walked
Izzy coming round
On Thursdays Izzy comes round. Because we have a club. She has tea at ours it’s really fun. When the club is finished Izzy’s mum or dad takes us home. When she’s at ours we have dance shows and we practise some dances. Rudy and mum watch us we have really good fun.

My day off…..
Today I went to @Bristol with Polly and Zoe. It was so interesting I loved all of it. We learnt about our body, how to make films and all about stars in the sky. We made some butter by whisking double cream.We used the electric whisk,hand whisk,normal whisk and a spatula.The electric whisk was the quickest way. We tried the butter on crackers and it was delicious. I am really tired out now it was such a busy day looking, learning and trying different things. Its a great place to go. I would love to go there again.
camping
When we got there we had to unpack all of the stuff and me and Tyler played on our scooters on this tarmac platform. That night we stayed in the tent because it was really windy and there was loads of rain . Saturday we went to the stalls and I bought 4 things . I went on a ride and you get in a ball and it floats on water and you have to try and run in the ball and keep up. Then we went to make a van . The next morning we packed up and went to the beach . We climbed up the rocks and looked at the vans . We had a wonderful time . xxxx

World champs in New Zealand
I had an email on Friday night from British Cycling to say I had qualified for selection to represent the Great Britain team at the forthcoming BMX World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand. And this weekend in very wet and windy conditions I finished 2nd overall in Wales.
George coming round.
On Wednesday George came round. When we first came back we waited for George’s mum to drop George here . Then we watched some Horrid Henrys. Then we had tea, it was chicken, vegetables and chips. After tea we played on the Wii. First we played Mario winter Olympics, we were 1st 5 or 6 times! Then we played Mario carts, we were 1st 2 times, that was much harder! My mum brought some yummy ice cream it was nice, it had chocolate caramel and marshmallows in it. Then George’s dad came to pick him up at 6pm. We hid under my brothers bunk beds behind the shoe drawer which was a great hiding place, they found us though.
Busy…..but lovely Lyme Regis!
Me,Mummy,Daddy and Ellis went to Lyme Regis.It took ages to find a place to park the car near the seafront.In the end we parked in a quiet road where a few other cars were parked.When we got out of the car we grabbed the picnic basket and went to find a place to have a picnic.The sun was shining but when the wind blew it was quite cold so I borrowed Mummy’s cardigan.We found somewhere to have our picnic by a nice stream. Once we finished the picnic Daddy walked to the car to put the picnic away.
Then we walked to the beach.I prefer pebbly beaches more than sandy beaches so we stayed on the pebbles.Ellis threw loads of pebbles at the beach.Me and Ellis then sat down on the pebbles and waited for the waves to soak our feet.One wave got half way up my leg……… luckily I had rolled up my leggings to my knees.That day there was a fete on so we got up from the beach and went to the fete.On the way there was a man balancing stones on other stones.That was cool.There was a paper mache looking monster as well Ellis pretended to brush its teeth.
Lyme Regis
Yesterday we went to Lyme Regis for the day. I put my feet in the sea. I liked brushing the dinosaurs teeth and pretending it was a real dinosaur! I called it Fred. We also saw some ducklings.
