We went on a school trip to the Standerwick market. We saw some fruits and vegetables which came from some other countries and this country. Next we saw a man trying to sell some cows. He was talking really quickly. It sound like he was talking rubbish and he dropped his stick then he stopped at once.

Sports’ Day
What glorious weather we were blessed with this afternoon for our Sports’ Day. As always it was brilliantly organised by Mrs Langton with her team of Year 4 helpers. The FBS with extra parents helpers put on another fabulous cream tea and the event was well attended by the parents, grandparents, aunties and uncles.
The children were very sporting and enthusiastic and it was great seeing the winners receive their medals on the podium.
The only cloud for me was that it was my very last Sports’ Day at Berkley !
Albufeira the rest of the week
We went to the marina where all the boats are docked.One day of the week Mummy,Daddy and Grandad went on a boat ride to see some caves.Another day Mummy bought us a blow up crocodile to play on in the pool.Sadly it got a puncture so we bought a blow up dolphin as well.On one day we went to the beach.That was nice.Some evenings we went to a restaurant.The food was lovely and for a pudding I had a pancake which was covered with chocolate and strawberries.Daddy was jealous!When we went out for lunch one day I had a giant ice cream for my lunch!

Albufeira in the Algarve travelling and day 1
We had to drive to Manchester on Friday.We had to drive there to be closer to the airport.We were going on holiday to Albufeira which is in the Algarve.Manchester is where my Auntie,Uncle and cousin Isaac (who is 3) live, they were coming too..My Nana and Grandad were coming as well.My Nana and Grandad met us for lunch at a place called the Beef eater.We had a nice lunch and lots of chips!Soon we left to go to my Auntie,Uncle and Cousin’s house.After that we found our hotel and our room.We had a nice dinner and then we had to go to sleep.
The next morning we woke up to get to the airport a lady took our suitcases and they went down on a bumpy thing.Soon it was time to get on the plane.When we were coming down Mummy squeezed my leg really hard for the bump,bump,bump bit!We found our suitcases and then got in a taxi.We arrived at our villa.It was called Villa Mimosa.We had our own private pool.I unpacked and then got in the swimming pool.The pool was freezing cold but I was the bravest about the temperature!

Holiday
We went to the Algarve. The villa was nice. We had fun in the swimming pool and went to the beach one day.We had to wake up at 3am to go home.

I went to the well dressing service with my mum. It was smelly from the incense.Our panel looks really good.
About sunday
On sunday Kayleigh came to our house for a sleep over. Our friends said they were getting some of the things ready. So we put our wellys on and got in the car. When we got there we saw our friends. Then we started the MASSIVE walk .We walked up a really big hill. My dad wanted to climb a pyramid were the people stand to sing their songs. When we got to the pyramid we got to go on the pyramid and dad sang us a song it was really funny. We walked some more we let there dog Henry of the lead we had to find a pirate ship me and Ben were first to find it. Then we found another castle to play in. Then e were so tired and we walked
Izzy coming round
On Thursdays Izzy comes round. Because we have a club. She has tea at ours it’s really fun. When the club is finished Izzy’s mum or dad takes us home. When she’s at ours we have dance shows and we practise some dances. Rudy and mum watch us we have really good fun.

My day off…..
Today I went to @Bristol with Polly and Zoe. It was so interesting I loved all of it. We learnt about our body, how to make films and all about stars in the sky. We made some butter by whisking double cream.We used the electric whisk,hand whisk,normal whisk and a spatula.The electric whisk was the quickest way. We tried the butter on crackers and it was delicious. I am really tired out now it was such a busy day looking, learning and trying different things. Its a great place to go. I would love to go there again.

When we got there we had to unpack all of the stuff and me and Tyler played on our scooters on this tarmac platform. That night we stayed in the tent because it was really windy and there was loads of rain . Saturday we went to the stalls and I bought 4 things . I went on a ride and you get in a ball and it floats on water and you have to try and run in the ball and keep up. Then we went to make a van . The next morning we packed up and went to the beach . We climbed up the rocks and looked at the vans . We had a wonderful time . xxxx

World champs in New Zealand
I had an email on Friday night from British Cycling to say I had qualified for selection to represent the Great Britain team at the forthcoming BMX World Championships in Auckland, New Zealand. And this weekend in very wet and windy conditions I finished 2nd overall in Wales.
George coming round.
On Wednesday George came round. When we first came back we waited for George’s mum to drop George here . Then we watched some Horrid Henrys. Then we had tea, it was chicken, vegetables and chips. After tea we played on the Wii. First we played Mario winter Olympics, we were 1st 5 or 6 times! Then we played Mario carts, we were 1st 2 times, that was much harder! My mum brought some yummy ice cream it was nice, it had chocolate caramel and marshmallows in it. Then George’s dad came to pick him up at 6pm. We hid under my brothers bunk beds behind the shoe drawer which was a great hiding place, they found us though.
Busy…..but lovely Lyme Regis!
Me,Mummy,Daddy and Ellis went to Lyme Regis.It took ages to find a place to park the car near the seafront.In the end we parked in a quiet road where a few other cars were parked.When we got out of the car we grabbed the picnic basket and went to find a place to have a picnic.The sun was shining but when the wind blew it was quite cold so I borrowed Mummy’s cardigan.We found somewhere to have our picnic by a nice stream. Once we finished the picnic Daddy walked to the car to put the picnic away.
Then we walked to the beach.I prefer pebbly beaches more than sandy beaches so we stayed on the pebbles.Ellis threw loads of pebbles at the beach.Me and Ellis then sat down on the pebbles and waited for the waves to soak our feet.One wave got half way up my leg……… luckily I had rolled up my leggings to my knees.That day there was a fete on so we got up from the beach and went to the fete.On the way there was a man balancing stones on other stones.That was cool.There was a paper mache looking monster as well Ellis pretended to brush its teeth.
Lyme Regis
Yesterday we went to Lyme Regis for the day. I put my feet in the sea. I liked brushing the dinosaurs teeth and pretending it was a real dinosaur! I called it Fred. We also saw some ducklings.
London Marathon
On Sunday my Mummy, Auntie and Uncle ran the London Marathon for a charity called Barnardo’s. My Auntie and Mummy wore bright green tutus.Mummy’s legs and feet are very sore. She is a bit sunburnt too. It is very hard for Mummy to walk at the moment. There is a website where you can track them and see where they were running. We also watched the telly to try and find them but we were out when they were finishing and the camera’s showed them, how annoying is that! Well done them!

When it was the 20 of April I was a mascot for the frome town men and we had to hold their sweaty hands and then we had to shake their sweaty hands. The goalkeepers gloves were all spongy and when they wre training they spit on their gloves. We went to wash are hands because they were that sweaty I said `yuck’ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT WAS FUN
School Disco
I have just got home from the school disco! Mrs Langton and I had a lovely evening. Everyone was really well behaved which meant we had a really great time!
I got to dance with lots of children, Malachi shared his mini donuts with me and I even got a giraffe tattoo! Evie said I was a good sport!
Mr Carver was the DJ and loads of parents helped to make it a terrific evening.

My First Race
On the 7th April I went to my first moto cross race it was really fun. I had to get up at half past six. We went to pick some of my dad’s friends because they were coming. Then we got in the van and set off. We had to travel all the way to Southhampton I had a sleep in the van so it wasn’t too bad.
When we got there I got out and had a cookie it was a chocolate one I was winding my dad up with it. Then we had to get my bike checked to see if it was okay to race, my motorbike was alright thankfully. While we were waiting I had another cookie I couden’t wind my dad up this time because he had one.
Then it was time for the race. My racing number is no. 22. My dad was worrried I would hurt myself, I wasn’t, I was excited. A race was on before me so I watched how it was done I got more and more excited my dad got even more worried. Then it was my turn I went and got my bike and went to the starting line the gates wern’t up yet because not everybody had gone round. Then the green flag went up that means it was all clear. you had to look up at the man because he was going to hold up a 10 second sign then a 5 second one. When it went five you had to look at your gate and it could drop any time then. The gate dropped I zoomed away the first thing I did was go over the handle bars. I was sceaming not because I was hurt but because I wanted to get back on my bike. I did get back on and then it countinued. That that was my day – I did 3 races and I got rider of the day. I get to do it all again in a weeks time – I cant’t wait!
Another Amazing Rain Forest Walk
Today we went back to the rainforest. It was a bit like home today and was rainy and cloudy but the raindrops are huge as well ! The trees are just so enormous.
First we went to see the Hinze dam and you can walk right over the middle of it and look down on the water overflowing.
We then went to see a natural bridge in the rain forest.There is a waterfall which comes down and has formed the bridge. You can go underneath it into a cave. You can then go above the waterfall and there are lookouts on both sides of the water . It was very loud. I hope you can see how tall the trees are from the video. The trees are so different from ours.
It was wet and cool in the rain forest today.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
We went to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. There is an animal hospital there where lots of sick animals are cared for. In the park you can see all kinds of animals and get really close up .
We saw pelicans,eels, crocodiles, kangaroos, koalas, dingos, tasmanian devils and so many lizards wandering about we lost count.
We saw the pelicans and eels being fed and a bird show. We were able to feed the kangaroos ourselves but luckily the crocodiles were fast asleep.
There was a magic show and the magician did the same bottle trick that you saw at the Berkley christmas party !

Australian Forest School
Today we went to Springbrook which is a community in the Gold Coast, within the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. Few places on earth contain so many plants and animals which remain relatively unchanged from their ancestors in the fossil record. There was so much to see we are going to have to back on another day.
We went up a very steep road and stopped at lots of lookouts to see the amazing views of the rain forests, waterfalls and the skyline of the Goldcoast.
The forest is very different to ours. The trees are massive and so tall. They have the most amazing roots. At one of the lookouts we were in the clouds and then they cleared away to show the view and then came back and we could see nothing.

Kuranda
Today we went to Kuranda which is known as the Village in the Rainforest. It is situated 380m above sea-level on top of the McAlister Range, in the heart of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Rainforests.
You can travel there two ways. We went up on the train and came back down on the sky rail.There are lots of shops at the village . We had a picnic and did lots of shopping.
The Cairns-Kuranda Railway was constructed between 1882 and 1891. It is amazing that they built the rail track in the rainforest. Hundreds of men were employed to build the 15 hand-made tunnels and 37 bridges. The train journey was very slow and we had a couple of stops to look at the view and the waterfalls
The sky rail was scary as you came down in gondolas above the tree tops and you are very high up.We had to change cable cars as we came down and were able to go to some look outs to see the view.

my surprise birthday trip to disney
hello everyone,
I have been very lucky to have an extra week off school as my mummy took me to disney to celebrate my 5th birthday,
I had a very good time and went on lots of rides and I got to meet lots of the characters to. They even signed my autograph book which I am going to bring in for show and tell when we return to school. On the day of my actual birthday I got to have a royal dinner with princess’s which were belle, snow white, cinderella and prince charming, it was very exciting and even had a birthday cake there to.
My favourite ride was “its a small world” and I made my mum and nanny take me on it lots of times.

The Great Barrier Reef
Today was just a perfect day. We went on a bus to Cairns town and got on a catamaran which took us 36 miles out to sea to Marine Land.
We all had to get changed into special suits and get our flippers and snorkels. We then went down to the edge of the sea and swam above the coral.
It was amazing.
We saw all sorts of fish and sea life. We had lunch on the boat and then went in the under sea viewing area.
We also got on a glass bottomed boat to see some more fish and coral. We saw a 150 year old clam .
We then went snorkelling again. The sea was 29 degrees and so clear and pretty.
We went out for dinner when we got back. Someone was very tired.

my birthday party
On the 29th of March I had a birthday party. Sophie, Holly, Maddie, Ruby, Kayleigh, Aimee and IzzyN came It was a pampering party.
We had our finger nails and toe nails painted. The lady did 180 nails altogether! Another lady came to do our hair. Most of us had 2 french plaits and Maddie and Kayleigh had high pony tails curled. We danced to 1Direction songs. That was fun.
I gave out menus when we were at school.They had to give them back to me when they had chosen and ticked what they wanted. Mum made us each our chosen main, desert and drink. It was delicious.
After we had tea we put some Michael Morpurgo books out and each guest got to choose which one they wanted. I chose first and decided on ‘An Elephant in the Garden’ (elephants are my favourite animals).
We played a dancing game on the Wii. Whenever somone wanted they joined in on the dance, eventually it was just me, Izzy, Sophie and Holly so we carried on dancing it was the best day ever!
Easter
I had lots of chocolate at Easter. I did 3 Easter Egg hunts. On Easter Monday we went to the park and played cricket and went on the slides.
Cairns
We had to have a big sleep as we had an early start to catch a plane to Cairns.
It was very exciting to see the Great Barrier Reef from the plane. We are off on a boat tomorrow to go there and snorkel.
Today we played in the park and the pool. All the parks here have shades over them to give you shade from the sun !
A Busy Few Days !
I have had a busy few days on the Gold coast. We went to the beach …again !!
We saw lots of lifeguards . They have painted koala bears that you have to count like we had in Bath.
It is Mr Hirons birthday so we made him a cake…yum yum !
There was a big spider outside the front door which was a bit scary.
On Sunday we went to a car show where there were lots of hot rod cars. It was like being in the Cars movie .
My first national race!
Last weekend me and Daddy went to Manchester for my first national competition. On Saturday I had practice and watched the elites and on Sunday I raced. In my first moto I finished 3rd, in my second I had a big crash but in my last moto I finished 2nd which gave me enough points to make the main final which I finished 7th
Sydney
After 27 hours of travelling we have finally arrived in Australia. The aeroplane was very big . The airport in Dubai was a very funny shape. I made sure I had my seat belt on before we took off and I had a cosy sleeping bag for when I slept. The food was delicious and Mrs Hirons let me have her salad !!
We had our own mini computer and we had our own screen to watch movies. You could watch the map and see which country we were flying over and lots of information about the flight. It even had a camera on the wheels so you could watch the plane taking off and landing from under the plane. We watched the new Bond film Skyfall and I saw the Fighting Temeraire picture you have all been learning about at school. It was a bit tricky to watch because Mr Hirons was watching Madacascar 3 . I will have to watch my animal friends on the way home.
The clouds were all shapes and sizes but the best bit was watching the clouds disappear so we could see land and see Australia for the first time.
The hotel is amazing and we are on the 23rd floor. It overlooks Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. There are some very tall buildings here.
No More Sleeps !
I am very excited to be setting off on my adventures. Mrs Hirons gave me a bath and I am all ready to go ! I think the aeroplane is going to be very big.
Visiting the HMS Victory
We had a wonderful day in Portsmouth. It was fantastic to see everything first hand that we have been thinking about in our topic.
My group knew so much and I was really proud of them.
It was also really interesting to see that there were over 300 articulated lorries on the road that day!( in joke- you had to be there) !!

Forest Schools!
I have just finished looking at the photos of some Squirrels out in the forest. It looks as if they were having a terrific time. I would love to go but sadly I haven’t had the chance.
Maybe one day I’ll disguise myself as a Squirrel and sneak onto the minibus! I bet no-one would notice!!! What do you think?

The Victory!
This week everybody will be travelling to Portsmouth on an educational visit to The HMS Victory. This is part of our creative curriculum topic on ‘The Fighting Temeraire’.
In KS2 we have been learning all about what it might have been like to have been a sailor aboard one of the ships in Nelson’s navy. Perhaps the Temeraire or the Tenacious or even the Victory herself. So, hopefully, everyone will have a good idea about life in those times and will get the most out of the visit.
I am really looking forward to the trip! I expect there will be lots of blogs about it next week!

Racing Time
In two weeks time I’m going to be in a real moto cross race. I can’t wait I’m so excited. I applied for my racing licence last night – I am waiting for my racing number to come through.
HMS victory
Me and my family are going to see the hms Victory in Portsmouth when we were going to France. So now we might have to go a second time with Mummy and Daddy to see the hms victory.
Cornwall
I’m going to cornwall with my grandma, grandad and my cousins, my mum , dad and my little brother freddie .We are going to go in 3 weeks. We are staying in a house and I like doing that.
West Kennett Long Barrow
On the last day of the holiday we went on a day out to West Kennett Long Barrow and Avebury (in Wiltshire). When we arrived it was cold so we put on warm clothes but still had our lunch outside.
The barrow is a burial mound for important people but it is empty now. It is about 5500 years old.

Kayleigh came round
On Sunday the 3rd of march my friend Kayleigh came round to play. First we went up to my room then we went back downstairs for a drink. Next we played bingo Kayleigh won.
After that we played cat walks Kayleigh was the person who gets everything ready then we went on the wii on Just dance 4 . Then we had to pick up Samuel my brother from football
After that we dropped off Kayleigh.
GANGMAN STYLE
My dad brought gangman style on the wii with our wii points.One of my big brothers loves gangman style. He does the dance in front of the tv when your all settled and cumfy. So he was the first to have a go. But when i started to join in he pushed me out the way. So girls just to warn you do not want a brother. But its even werse for me because i have got two brothers . GO GANGMAN STYLE.
Running Day
Today is the bath half marathon and my brother is running it . Me and my mum also my dad and my other brother are watching him. At the run we are meeting some friends also my big sister. My big brother did really well and he got 1:25:19 and that was amazing. Then at the end my mum and big sister went to get some tea. And then we all got in the car and went home. And my big sister is staying for a night.
The Fighting Temeraire
Mrs Perry and I have both been watching the James Bond movie ‘Skyfall’ and it was really funny because at one point 007 goes to the National Gallery and he sits right in front of the Fighting Temeraire while he is waiting to talk to another spy.
I have been to see the painting recently and it was in a different place In the gallery. I think they must have moved it for the film?

Sophie came round
One day Sophie came round she bought tatoos and we put them on our bellys and head and cheek that was fun.After that we went outside and played on the trampleen and clome the tallest tree I have but we don’t go very high. Next we went in and Sophie and Holly bought a wii game called Rio you were a bird and you had to get the monkeys.They bought a box and I wanted to know what was in it but my my mum woudn’t let me see until the boys had finished but when she went into the other room so me and soph went to have a look we stoll one they were homade choclate brownies they were dilishes we Kept on having some then my mum spoted us.

Yesterday I went to issy’s house for tea we played wrestiling. issy and henry were on one side and rudy and me on the other side . for tea we had chiken and after tea it was time for me an issy to get ready or beavers so we got ready for beavers and went to beavers. me and issy made musicall istrumants out of pringle tubes and shoe boxes . it was real fun then wee were doing the badges and I got my highest badge you can get then my mum took us home we dropped issy off and went home .

Next weekend it will be my party. I am having a sleep over Liam and Luis are coming to stay we are going to get up erlay and have a Nerf gun fight and go to bed at 6.00 in the morning
